Erica Schatz moved to Durango in the late 80s as a pre-teen and grew up between Durango and North Dakota.  She has spent most of her career in management of hotels and luxury resorts from Durango to Maine to Florida.

In 2013 Erica decided to move back to the mountains and call Durango her permanent home where she started her career in insurance for Maycock Insurance/New York Life.  For a time, she returned to hotels as the General Manager of the Best Western PLUS Rio Grande, but soon realized, helping people navigate the intricacies of Insurance was much more fulfilling.

Erica enjoys being an active member with the Durango Elks Lodge #507, spending time with family, camping, rafting and all the beauty of living back home in beautiful Durango.
